Village Green Cider

An interesting cider maker in that they used to have 2 distinct branches, one in Sussex and one in Norfolk, but now only the Norfolk one seems to survive. I tried these ciders when on holiday in Norwich and they were well received at the end of a long hot walk. Sadly they have no mail order shop, so if you see it about, try it.

Soul Cider

Medium Sweet

Straw colour, clear & sparkling from the keg

Not a huge nose, mainly of lively fizzy apple

Fairly sweet for a medium sweet but still quite refreshing. Fair amount of fresh minerally apple flavour with a hint of tannin. Quite a short flavour profile without a huge aftertaste but still very refreshing.

Perfectly drinkable session cider but you'll need to like the sweeter ones to appreciate this one

Sweet

Sweet

Pale yellow, slightly cloudy and flat from the hand pump

Sweet honey apple nose, but not overpowering

Very Nice little sweet cider. Lots of huge apple flavour initially with a hint of vanilla right off the mark mellows slowly leaving a nice apple vanilla custard aftertaste. No tannin, but the sweetness is not overbearing leaving a nice refreshing aftertaste. Sweet cooked desert apple with a hint of pear drop.

That is a very good sweet cider. And not sticky at all. Well worth trying if you like the sweet ones.
