Taunton Medium | Medium | Amber, clear and quite sparkling. Nice earthy apple nose with a good whack of fruit. Simple clear taste, medium dry I'd say with just a small amount of tannin and a slight astringency. Not a huge burst of fruit, but very easy to drink. Good refreshing afternoon cider | ★★★★★ | 4% |

Taunton Longaller Mill Reserve | Medium Dry | Straw yellow crystal clear sparkling – lively little number, beware when opening! Heavy straw and apple nose, slight burnt wood. Big dryish fresh apple flavour at first and slight woodiness. The flavour lingers nicely and mellows a touch. Leaves a nice juiciness in the mouth which is always good.
Middling amount of tannin that lingers on the teeth but not overwhelming Nothing complex, but a good solid cider which is easy to drink and wouldn't get stale quickly. | ★★★★★ | 5% |

Taunton Proper Natch | Dry | I was wondering if it was worth reviewing this one as they don't seem to do it anymore. Amber, clear and quite sparkling. I remember it as being a fairly full flavour, quite traditional in flavour, fairly crisp but with a slight woody overtone. Shame I can't get any more to try again | ★★★★★ | 5.5% |

Dyrham Park Perry | Medium Dry | So this is an interesting one. This Perry was made by the Taunton Cider company for the National Trust from pears grown in Dyrham Park near Bristol. When lockdown happened, Taunton Cider seemed to have all these bottles lying around and sold them.
A couple of pallets found their way to my place until they ran out. Now, I assume they only sell them at Dyrham park itself (if they still do it), and you can't get it online. This is a damn shame. I don't have many notes, but I remember it as being particularly refreshing and lovely. Lots of pear flavour and a well balanced medium dry. Such a shame I can't get any more. | ★★★★★ | 6% |

Taunton First Press Dry | Dry | Feisty little number, be careful on opening otherwise you may get a bit wet... Lovely light golden yellow, clear and sparkling. Slightly sour but a rich fresh green apple smell. Oh wow, gorgeous flavour. A rich dryness, full of dry crisp apples with a slight tartness but good fizz on the tongue which gives it a good balance. A small amount of tannin.
Decently long aftertaste, slightly astringent but leaves a mouth watering feel. Very very good dry cider, at 4% you could drink this till the cows come home | ★★★★★ | 4% |

Taunton Natural Dry | Dry | Golden, crystal clear, sparkling. Very slight vinegar nose on top of the fresh apples but not unpleasant. Crisp sharp dry with lots of tannin that mellows quickly to a bittersweet apple with some berry. Good lingering aftertaste leaving a nice refreshing flavour with a hint of vanilla there. This is a very good dry cider, nice and uncomplicated and easy to drink. | ★★★★★ | 5.5% |
