Severn Cider

Dark golden clear not that sparkling.

Lovely big fresh apple juice smell.

Nice straight cider taste with lots of fresh fruit taste. Bittersweet with a nice little fresh dryish aftertaste. Perfectly good session cider at 5.4% would get more if I could.

Good dark yellow colour, clear and a good fizz that lasts.

Old fashioned slightly musty smell, very pleasant.

Good fizz on the tongue, actually medium sweet I'd say and very pleasant. Easy to drink with a good deep apple flavour and not too toffee-apple and clingy which is common with sweeter ciders.

A fine grown up medium sweet cider IMO with plenty of taste that would be robust enough to work well with a main course, but probably too much for a desert . Will get more

Amber, clear and sparkling

Bottle conditioned so a strong yeasty nose on opening - let that dissipate if you’re not a big fan, it goes fairly quickly. You then get a nice creamy nose with a slightly sweet apple aroma.

Oh that’s crisp and dry. Has the texture indeed of an unsalted crisp on the tongue, and I find it quite pleasant. Minerally and Not as astringent or tannic as most dry ciders, it’s just simple and dry. It’s the kind of dryness you get from many single variety apples but this has a slightly more interesting and rounded flavour The dryness quickly mellows to give a good bittersweet mouthfeel and a mid length aftertaste leaving a nice crisp refreshing mouth feel.

Very nice indeed as straight dry ciders go. Could happily drink a fair few of those as it lacks that tannic astringency that many have.

Mainly made of Blakeney Red Perry pears.

Bit yeasty initially but clears quickly to a deep rich pear nose. Nothing artificial and pear-drop like with this one.

Oh lovely. Very deep thick rich pear flavour and mellow. You get a counter balance from the sparkle as well though that helps lft the flavour and helps give it an overall crispness. Long mouthwatering aftertaste. The website refers to this as delicate but I don't think that's how I'd describe it - it has a rich flavour

This is a Perry you could drink all evening no problem. I like it a lot, the richness is not as sweet as many Perrys and the sparkle helps make it a very interesting cider to drink lots of.
