Blossom | Medium Dry | I'm not exactly sure what this cider is. It was listed as Oliver's Blossom at the bar but there doesn't seem to be any reference of that anywhere... I think it may have been farmhouse cider. Dark golden, slight haze with a light sparkle Slightly tart acidic nose but strongly of fermented apple. Smooth rich farmyard flavour with lots of overripe fruit flavour. Lots of straw which always makes me think of cheese somehow. Usual long rich aftertaste as you expect from Oliver's. As usual a nice decent drinking cider from Oliver. | ★★★★★ | 5.8% |

Gold Rush #9 barrel aged | Medium | A blend including Dabinett, Yarlington Mill and Kingston Black, with some sharp Foxwhelp. Deep copper colour, almost rust, a little haze and slightly sparkling. Dry apple on the nose with a very very faint wood tone. Oh a huge flavour profile. Wow, what do we have? Lots of juicy bittersweet apple from the Dabinett, with the usual very slight vanilla and orange tones. This is very subtle as the whiskey peaty smokeyness from the barrel dominates initially, but it is very well balanced and is nowhere as overwhelming as many. You get a bit of acidity/sharpness to grab the throat from the Foxwhelp and a slightly spicy end from the Yarlington Mill. A very clean drink with a long lingering refreshing aftertaste This is a belter. Tom Oliver has a huge reputation for his cider and you can see why with this one. Shame about the price, but you pays your money you takes your choice, and it's well worth it. | ★★★★★ | 6.8% |

Classic Perry | Medium Sweet | Straw coloured, hazy and flat Fairly straight Perry nose and slightly floral Big mouthful of Perry pears that is initially slightly tart but quickly Sweetens. Long aftertaste leaving a lovely flavour in the mouth. No tannin but I found it fairly dry compared to the advertised Medium Sweet, more medium I’d say. Again another cider you could drink all days long, well until the inevitable happens | ★★★★★ | 6.7% |

Pomona Rolling Blend 2020 | Medium Dry | Dark golden, clear and sparkling. Lovely clean mature cider nose but with a bit of zing (some say zesty). Oooh nice. Traditional west country method flavour. Slightly farmhouse, lots of fermented apple and a little of tannin. You really have to swill it round your mouth to get that. Quite rich with a small amount of leather and a touch of acidity to make it refreshing.
Well balanced but with a shortish aftertaste. Very nice little cider. Would happily drink that again. | ★★★★★ | 6.5% |

Wild Ferment Rolling Blend Perry | Medium Dry | Straw yellow clear and sparkling. Big nose wild yeast nose (ie slightly tart pear) that you can smell a good couple of feet away. Oh that is a nice Perry. Slightly tart initially with a with a little hint of esters and leather. Some reviewers say Rhubarb, but can't say I got that. Lovely tingle on the tongue and mellows quickly to a gentle butterscotch (but not sweet) flavour. Lots of Perry pear flesh flavour all the way through and lingers into a nice long refreshing aftertaste. No tannin to speak of but it does have a slight astringency. This is a real perry so don't expect a 'pear' flavour, true Perry is slightly different. A blend of varieties like like Blakeney Red, Red Pear, Red Longdon, Gin & Butt by all accounts. Seriously nice Perry and it does command a premium price (ie its expensive :-)). As a treat though it's well worth it. | ★★★★★ | 6% |

Five Friends Still | Dry | A blend of 5 apples: Kingston Black, Yarlington Mill, Dabinett, Foxwhelp & Michelin. Gold clear and flat from the cask Big fruity nose mainly of the Kingston black with a slight spicyness from the Yarlington Mill and a farmyard tang from the wild fermentation. Lovely oaky, slightly farmyard flavour with lots of rich apple. Bit of tartness I guess from the Foxwhelp. Only a slight light tannin that balances it all out nicely. Not over dry which is a good thing, in fact I'd put it closer to Medium Dry than dry. An interesting blend and worth trying although I do prefer others of his range I must say. | ★★★★★ | 6.8% |

Out of the barrel room Rosalie | Dry | Golden, slightly cloudy and flat. Sour spicy wild yeast nose Very dry tart apple flavour. You get a little bit of the whisky but more of the wood and a bit of a spice on the tongue. Fair amount of tannin but a bit of vanilla in the aftertaste as well. You’d expect a cask conditioned cider to be smoother, but this one stands there and kicks you on the side of your cheeks. Not one for everyone this one. It’s tart and tingly so I’d struggle to drink too much of it but it is interesting and quite tasty if you like that tartness. | ★★★★★ | 6.8% |
