Angry Wasp | Dry | Light green-yellow colour, clear and sparkling. It has large chunks of sediment in it so be careful when pouring. A fairly strong tart nose with a bit of straw. Oh that isn't bad. A fair amount of dry tannin with a fair amount of acidity, but balanced by a buttery flavour. Not a huge distinct apple taste really which is a bit strange, you could almost be fooled into thinking this was a wine if it wasn't for the hint of apple in the aftertaste. I guess that is the combination of the east-anglian style of using desert/eating apples and champagne yeast. Perfectly drinkable and has a nice balanced dryness to it, but I prefer my ciders with a bit more flavour to it I must confess. | ★★★★★ | 6.5% |

Architect's Glory | Dry | Straw colour, clear and sparkling. Be careful of the sediment thought if you don't like that. Strong straw/farmyard apple nose which I find a bit off putting - one for the connoisseur Big taste of minerally, dry, astringent apple flesh and a bit of phenolic funk. Lots of tannin in there but with a tingle on the tip of the tongue. Mellows quite quickly to a smoother aftertaste which reminds me a bit of sour Skittles sweets for some reason. Nice taste, but I always find that sharp farmyard nose puts me off a bit. Worth giving a go I think but not one I'd go back for sorry. | ★★★★★ | 6.7% |

Cambridge Cider Cokenach Cuvee | Dry | Lots of sediment so let it settle. Light golden yellow, ever so slightly hazy and flat. Traditional cider nose with a hint of honey. A little bit yeasty and dry, you do get some citrussy apple but to me the taste is soapy (another reviewer called it oily..) and not particularly pleasant. I have to admit I did not finish the bottle. Now as with all bottled ciders it could be an off bottle so if you've had one that didn't have that soapy taste let me know | ★★★★★ | 7.2% |

Ellingham Hall | Dry | This is the 2022 vintage so was nearing its best by date in early 2024 so later vintages may be different. Golden clear and ever so slightly sparkling. Thick farmyard nose with plenty of straw in there. Dry traditional farmyard flavour. Decent tannin hit with a sharp apple taste in the foreground. There's a slightly soapy flavour in there somewhere which I'm going to put down to it being near the end of its shelf life. It's not that bad but it is slightly off putting obviously. I think there's potential for that to be a good cider, but I think the bottle I had was past its best. I must try and find a newer bottle from somewhere and see. | ★★★★★ | 7.2% |

Turin's Byte | Medium Sweet | You tend to get this little number in bars and festivals, I've not seen it in bottles. Cloudy, golden and flat Slightly honeyish hint on a soft fruit nose Lots of flavour though. Has a nice sharp bite on the side of the tongue when you first drink it but it quickly mellows. Juicy fruit in abundance with honey and a touch of vanilla. Little or no tannin. Long juicy mouthful of an aftertaste. This cider goes down easily and if you like your cider sweeter then you could go all evening on this welcoming little drop. | ★★★★★ | 4.3% |
