Cider with Evans

Blackmoor Estate

I don't know much about these makers as yet, but the bottle of Ridges Green I tried was top notch so I'm looking forward to try the others

Medium Dry

Medium Dry

Very pale yellow, ever so slightly hazy and sparkling.

Nice deep fermented apple nose with a hint of sulphites.

Rich fermented apple pulp taste with a fair amount of tannic astringency so it's on the drier end of medium dry. Crisp and has a nice long refreshing aftertaste.

Perfectly good little cider but a little bit too much of the tannic astringency for me. I prefer the Ridges Green below.c

Ridges's Green

Medium Dry

Golden clear and sparkling

Rich deep cider nose, very inviting.

OOh tangy. There's a big, mouth filling crunch when you take a gulp, as they say on the bottle, zingy with a distinct rich cider flavour. That rich flavour caries on all he way through with that zing slowly dissipating to a nice lingering and refreshing slightly acidic aftertaste.

That is nice, very nice if you like the ciders nice and sharp. That is very refreshing and full of flavour. I'd say brilliant on a hot summer's day but at 6.5%, that might not be such a good idea. I'd certainly give it a go though.
