Despite this being a scottish cider maker, you do see this quite often in pubs across the country. I've seen the whisky cask down in Lincoln and even in London. They also have an online shop with fairly quick delivery as well.
Original
Medium Sweet
Light golden colour, clear and sparkling
Big Fresh citrus nose with a touch of sherry
It's hard to describe the flavour exactly, but it's a big mouthful. It’s sweet, slightly sour and rich. Bit of sherry, lots of rich apple pulp. Little or no tannin and the flavour lingers heavy on the tongue for a long time.
Perfectly good cider, very easy to drink but quite rich flavour wise that could get a bit tiresome eventually.

Medium Sweet
Light yellow colour clear and sparkling
Sweet rich apple nose with a big hit of pear. Strangely reminds me of Heinz beans which is bizarre. I’ve also seen it described as wet leaf which I guess I can get.
Ok I get sausage when I taste it or possibly pulled pork again, it's that rich sweetness. What is it about Thistly cross and giving me strange taste sensations?
Anyway despite that initial hit, that’s not a bad cider at all.
There is a fair amount of fermented ripe fruit in there with little or no tannin. It’s a thick medium sweet cider with cheek filling flavour. A decently long aftertaste leaves you wanting more.
It’s on the sweeter end of medium sweet but you could easily drink more than one.

Whisky Cask
Medium Sweet
Straw yellow clear and a good head when you pour it. This was from the bottle. You regularly get this on draught where it's flatter.
Slightly tart some would call it funky nose with lots of green apple skins.
Very smooth but rich apple flavour. No tannin to speak of and you get a slight hint of honey in the middle flavour. The whiskey is very much in the background and you can only just taste it when you swill it round. I think it’s a bit too sweet for that to come out. Decent long flaverfull aftertaste which leaves a nice mouth wetness.
A tad on the sweet side for me but it does go down well. Very nice when chilled.
I tried this out of the barrel as well and here I find it has a very buttery nose and flavour. Curiously it reminds me of a nice buttery mash potato. There's a very subtle whisky flavour with a tiny amount of wood.
