Cider with Evans

Pembrokeshire Cider Company

A newish cider maker in South Pembrokeshire (yes that's important :-)), I only discovered them 2 years ago on a holiday back there, and brought quite a few back with me.
They sell the historic 3 ciders in a pack and if you're ever down there it's well worth picking one up as a present to anyone you really like.

Cromwell

Dry

Golden yellow colour, slightly hazy with a light fizz.

Big nose of fermenting apples.

Straight cider flavour, lovely crisp flavour with lots of apple. Bittersweet aftertaste. Easy to drink and not too strong. Dry, but not over dry.

Nice. Wouldn’t say no to some more.

Henry VII

Medium Dry

Golden, clear sparkling.

Big farmhouse apple nose with small amount of smoke.

Huge bittersweet apple flavour with the slightest hint or strawberry and vanilla. Long lingering smooth aftertaste leaving a juicy feeling in the mouth.  Seriously good and easy to drink. A strong session cider.

William Marshal

Medium

Golden clear, slightly sparkling.

Strong straw windfall apples smell.

Good autumn orchard fruity flavour with a decent bite. Little bit of tartness which lifts it nicely and mellows gently to a lingering apple aftertaste.

Quite refreshing and easy to drink.
