Cider with Evans

Celtic Marches

Celtic Marshes are quite a big maker and you'll also see their cider sold under the Abrahalls brand as well

Abrahalls Dry

Dry

Dark Golden colour, clear and sparkling

Slightly sharp fruity nose

Full of flavour. Slightly tart with plenty of skins and a slight cherry note. Light on the tannin but dry without being overly astringent. Quite a short aftertaste but very refreshing.

Nice but the vintage is better I think, it has a bit more flavour.

Abrahalls Vintage

Medium

Golden, clear and sparkling

Nice fresh effervescent fruity nose

Smooth with lots of fresh apple pulp with a hint of vanilla. Hint of tannin to give some dryness but has a slight sweetish touch. Nice long refreshing aftertaste.

Very easy to drink with a decent amount of flavour. Well worth a go.

Lily the Pink

Medium Sweet

Yellow with a slight pink hue (apparently). Clear and flat (when out of the barrel).

Slightly floral apple nose

Not the biggest apple flavour but it is there in the background. Quite sweet initially but then mellows to a light bittersweet feel. Little bit of a berry flavour.

Yes drinkable but nothing outstanding I have to say. Too gentle to be interesting for me.

Thundering Molly

Medium

Golden, clear and flat

Slightly tart but gentle apple nose

Big, full apple flavour with the right amount of tannin to balance it out. The mineral makes it quite dry for a medium cider, and that dryness runs through to the long juicy aftertaste. That mineral is balanced out by just enough residual sweetness

Nice little session cider that one. On the drier side of medium but well balanced and a lot of traditional cider flavour up front.
